If you have children, chances are you’ve been out and about with them when one suddenly disappeared. Sometimes they’re being naughty and purposely hiding; other times, they just wander off. Either way, when you realize they’re gone, it’s immediate panic.

Apparently, this is also true for some animals. Bluey is a black swan who lives at Pilchard Cottage, a 220-year-old cottage in the seaside town of Dawlish, Devon, England. Earlier this year, he and the missus had some cygnets (baby swans), but he lost one and panicked. History is repeating itself with a new set of cygnets in this video, and the second he realizes one of the two is missing, you can see the panic set in.

Poor Bluey! He didn’t realize the little one was under his wing the whole time and started to freak out! Every parent knows this feeling, and it’s not a good one!

We laughed when the swan told his older son, the bigger swan, Hope, “Don’t tell your mom.” It’s such a relatable parent thing to say!

Bluey’s video went viral, racking up more than 15 million views and nearly 2,500 comments. Parents shared their relatable moments in the comments. One shared, “We’ve all been there. I lost my youngest when he was literally strapped to me.”

@sir.jzzl added, “Similarly, when we lose our cell phone, and it’s in our own hand, lol!”

Commenter @graceb250 pointed out, “Sneaking a nap ‘n’ ride!” Another viewer added, “Tired parents detected!”

Thankfully, this little one wasn’t lost for long, but Dad’s panic was something every parent could understand!
