Regé-Jean PageandHalle Baileyare ready to make fans swoon with their sweet and saucy Italian rom-com.

Page, 38, and Halle, 26, appeared for a Q&A before a screening of their new film,You, Me & Tuscany, at the People Inc. Auditorium in New York City on April 6. During their conversation with Nigel Smith, PEOPLE’s senior movies news editor, the two stars discussed filming on location in Italy.

"You're gonna have to drink really good wine," Page explained. "You're gonna have to eat really good food. Learn to make really good food."

"Halle Bailey, by the way, is very humble, so she might tell you stuff like she can make cacio e pepe from scratch now," he added, as Halle plays a chef named Anna in the movie. "But by from scratch, I don't mean she can buy it and put it ... No, no, she rolls the pasta."

Page, who playedheartthrob Simon BassetonBridgertonseason 1, hopes viewers leave the film feeling "passionate about food," and that rom-coms are important stories to tell in cinemas, "as every single person in this room is in some way interested in love and loving and being loved."

He added in a November 2025 interview with PEOPLE, "I spent a lot of time just driving, taking in the landscape. It's a real treat to escape into the world of the movie like that."

Halle said during the April 6 Q&A she had an "incredible" time on set.

"I mean, when we got to Tuscany, especially, it felt like we were stepping into a dream, like a painting," she said. "It didn't feel real, honestly, and it was so nice just to be there. We found some cute little places."

Being a self-proclaimed "nature girlie," Halle also had an exciting time finding various hikes and hot springs. "So I was out and about with my baby running around and we were having fun. It was a great time," she added about herson, Halo, 2.

In PEOPLE's issue this week, Halle said that they filmed in Rome for the first three or four weeks, but she used one of her days off to go to a "fresh waterfall an hour outside of the city," likely the Mole di Narni and the Marmore Falls.

"All the locals were saying the movieNarniawas based off of this little place," she explained.

Halle welcomed Halo in December 2023 with her ex-boyfriend DDG. She's leaned on loved ones, including her older sister,Chloe Bailey, to help her juggle motherhood with her work.

“You don’t do it alone," she told PEOPLE for this week's issue. "I feel grateful that I have beautiful women in my life that surround me and lift me up and that are my village. It’s a village job.”

"Especially when you're trying to work on so many different things," Halle added. "You're trying to do your career as well as balance [motherhood], but I feel like women, we can do it all. Like we really can. We need to give ourselves more credit as women sometimes, too, and know that we are amazing."

While Halle’s previous acting credits includeGrown-ishandThe Little Mermaid, she felt like she this role allowed her to show that she's "stepping into who I am now."

In the film, her character Anna decides to head to Italy after meeting a man named Matteo (Lorenzo de Moor) who has an abandoned villa in Tuscany, or so she thought. However, when Matteo's family shows up and call the police, it leads Anna to have to pretend she's engaged.

Things get evenmorecomplicated when Anna meets Matteo's equally-handsome cousin, Michael (Page), and she instantly begins falling for him.
