The trailer for the upcomingSpider-Manmovie, released on March 17, officially made history as the biggest trailer of all time, reaching 1.1 billion views. It is the first-ever movie trailer to surpass the milestone, as reported byVariety,citing WaveMetrix.
This isn't the only feat the superhero movie has achieved. The trailer hit 718.6 million views within 24 hours of its release, making it the biggest trailer launch in history. It surpassed the previous record holder (Deadpool and Wolverinewith 365 million views), surpassing 373 million views in just eight hours.
The previous installment in the franchise, 2021'sSpider-Man: No Way Home,also touted a historical 355.5 million views in 24 hours, the outlet reported.
